I think this is a modern token based on a square Akbar Rupee. Here are some more examples of these:

Overlord,

I have compared this coin with all the pics of tokens on the link. There is no perfect match with the coin. What is a token? Does this mean this coin is a fake?

I think the object in question would be classified as a religious token.

The "value" depends on your personal interest in tokens. If I purchased it thinking it to be a Rupee of Akbar, I would probably return it.
