Western Kshatrapas, Nahapana, 33-78 AD, Lead, 9.22g, Fishman 8.3, Junnar Lion type

Obv: Majestic maned Lion standing on a platform; 3-arched hill below platform; facing a plough-headed standard in railing; Jaya/Indra-dhwaja (triangle-headed standard) below

Rev: Thunderbolt, long arrow and strung bow-and-arrow

Majestic indeed ! Nice to see you posting one of your jewels again, even with this jewel being in lead.
For a lead coin it is beautifully preserved. I am also struck by the multicolored patina. I would guess that is an indication that this is likely lead in an alloy with different metals ?

Thanks Anthony. Yes, it's been a while since I posted at WoC but better late than never!

It might be that the lead coin is arsenic mixed with other metals/alloys that gives it different hues. It would not be uncommon as such issues are known for the Satavahanas too of which the WS were contemporaries.
