This coin has the balemark on both sides instead of the crown & GR for the obverse, I thought it was a minting error, a nice companion for my other Presidency pice error with transposed balemark mistake.
There are several known errors for this type but I'm not sure if this one is listed in Paul Stevens Presidency book

Vic, It is not a minting error. This has been attributed by Paul Stevens to Bharuch issue of 1824 AD. (See the details in the JONS).

Hello All
I have a similar coin, acquired from a recent auction.

I note the reference to Bharuch of 1824, but where can i find this?
I have the Paul Stevens Book - Presidency Series though not bale to locate it.
Any suggestions please?   What does JONS refers too?

The journal of the Oriental Numismatic Society, I think you will find Bharuch & Broach are different spellings of the same thing

Thanks Vic,

Is it possible to obtain more details on the attribution in JONS, would you happen to know which issue of the journal one could find the information?
I assume there is not a catalogue reference in either Pridmore / KM / Stevens
