Try to read the date. That will be a help to work out whether the coin is Mughal or not.

Here is a site that will show you Arabic numbers in different forms. It will also convert dates and give you further information on the dating system.

With the help of the sticky topics (the coloured ones always on top of the list) of this board, you can use the date to figure out which name should be on the coin. See List of Mughal Emperors. You will find that it's fun to be able to work out basic information yourself.

Do not waste time looking for a mughal rupee, you could validly look to the Afghan Barakzai dynasty.
