Why is this coin not available from the Isle of Man post office? I've looked on their site but it's not there. Do they (iom p.o)  mint their own coins? Tower Mint website hasn't been updated for years.

All coins from the Isle of Man are since 2017 being minted at Tower Mint. Tower Mint can decide which distributors they allow to sell the coins. Although the IOM Post Office has been distributing Isle of Man coins for a long time, occasionally Tower Mint does not allow them to distribute new issues. I do however not yet outrule the possibility the Royal Wedding 2 pounds coins will be available at the Isle of Man Post Office at a later date.

Shame it's not in a presentation pack.
I quite like that.  I find that presentation packs take up too much space.  I like the Westminster approach - a blue card with the coin encapsulated, and can fit nine to a page.  These days presentation packs aren't necessary.  If I want info on a coin, I'll google it.  The Royal Mint seems to have gone the other way - bigger packs, so they can charge a premium for them.

First collectors today received the BU coins they bought from the Westminster Collection. Quality is very bad as always with Tower Mint.

Coins from Westminster are usually encapsulated in a blue card.  That one doesn't look as though it is?

What is going on with the cupro-nickel part of the coin?  The nickel-brass ring doesn't look so bad.

It was taken out of the card.

No idea what is going on with the core of the coin.

Well, mine arrived today and I'm pleased to say all is fine, it meets my high standards and no blemishes or marks.  It's the only Royal Wedding commemorative I'm getting, as I wouldn't normally bother with such things.  The fact it's a circulation coin and not a £5 is what swayed me.
