2018 coins in circulation

HM Treasury has now officially confirmed that no 2018-dated 2 pounds coins will be released into general circulation.

The Royal Mint has decided that going forward the mintage figures of circulating coins will be released alongside those of the sales figures of sets and packs. As the latter are being released with a 3-year delay, we are currently looking at February 2021 before we will know mintage figures of the 2018-dated coins minted for circulation. Completely unacceptable.

After a little bit of pressure this ridiculous decision has now been reversed. The mintage figures of the 2018-dated coins that were minted for general circulation will be released around mid-September 2019.

Apart from the £1 and perhaps a couple of 50p commemoratives, I don't think I've seen any 2018-dated coins, so this list could be interesting.

It does at least make getting the annual sets that bit more interesting.  For many years, you could readily find every coin in them in circulation if you waited long enough.  Not so with 2017 onwards.

Don't think the 2018 Royal Shield 'picture-puzzle' was issued. The Snowman certainly wasn't issued.
