i got this Chinese coin, have a problem to identify it. any ideas?

I believe it's not Chinese, but Japanese. Of course, without being furnished diameter and weight, can't say what it is. But if I had that information, and thus there were some point in looking further, I'd look in the Japanese coins from the 1600s. And then I'd get pretty suspicious, because that coin seems rather well-preserved--certainly possible, but not the norm. Maybe it's a type that was restruck many times over the years.

Hadn't seen that, but I'm gratified to know that had this been an actual identification need, I was on the right track. I so rarely come across a request I can help with, but I keep trying.
