Japanese 1 mon, kanei tsuho obverse, 'bun' reverse, cast 1668-1683, Hartill 4.102. Cast from the metal of the old Daibutsu buddah image, destroyed in an earthquake in 1662. 1,970,000 cast over a period of 16 years.

Don't feel bad about that. It's normal when looking at cashes. I spent a lot of hours assuming I'd missed something before I realized that not all coins of this style were Chinese. There's a very helpful book, Cast Chinese Coins by David Hartill, that also covers issues of this type from the surrounding regions.
