Where on the left picture the mint formula is in the outer circle, the reference to the Abbasid caliph is in the inner circle.
On the right picture the outer circle is the Kalima and quote from the Koran, the inner margin names "al-Malik Salah al-Din".

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Thanks a lot THCoins and toofast.
I wonder if there is a source where I can read the complete translation.

These fall a bit outside my collecting focus. So i do not have formal references for these.
As these are regularly auctioned, probably your best chance to find full descriptions of several types is visit a site like coinarchives.

Thanks a lot THCoins and toofast.
I wonder if there is a source where I can read the complete translation.

You will need either Paul Balog's The Coinage of the Ayyubids, which isn't that much considering its an excellent book for less than $30 or download the BMC and go through the sections on Ayyubids or download Lavoix.  The latters are free...

See http://www.worldofcoins.eu/forum/index.php/topic,29352.msg187567.html#msg187567 for the links to Lavoix...
A gallery of my coins can been seen at FORVM Ancient Coins
