Copper piece dated 1779 and bearing the shields of France and Navarre, very much like a gold Louis but I can't find it listed.
Appears to be a privy mark on the obverse which seems familiar, but no matching record.
29 mm, 3.3 gr. Coin rotation.

Looks like a cast copy of a double Louis d'or (KM 575.1, note that this date is not listed for Paris) to me. See the C in CHRS.REGN, which is almost closed. Original is 16.316 grams, so it should be way too thin.

The heron below the bust and the A between the CoA's are the correct marks for Paris.

Too light to be deceptive, so most likely to be gilded for jewellery purposes.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Rather nice 8)
My guess gilded and used for a game of cards much like the 'In Memory of the Good Old Days' pieces.
Always willing to trade.  See my profile for areas of interest.
