Latvia's Centenary: Coat of Arms on New €5 Coin
« on: October 18, 2018, 04:36:11 PM »
Next week (October 23), Bank of Latvia will issue a silver collector €5 coin commemorating Latvia's centenary. The coin features Coat of Arms of Latvia on obverse, and Coat of Arms of Latvia's historical regions on reverse. Latvia has already issued €2 commemorative coins featuring Coat of Arms of its historical regions.

The coin costs €53 and 3000 coins will be issued.

Bad eyesight has advantages. I read the title of this thread as Latvia's Cemetery and my immediate reaction was: that must be a first on a coin. :D

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
