Finland: New Series of €5 Coins "National Landscapes of Finland"

Next year, Finnish mint will start a new series of €5 (bimetallic) coins with the theme "National Landscapes of Finland". Issue schedule is as follows:

- Koli National Park (March)
- Maritime Helsinki (April)
- Punkaharju ridge (May)
- Pallastunturi fells (June)
- Archipelago Sea (July)
- Tammerkoski rapids (August)
- Oulankajoki river natural and cultural landscapes (September)
- Porvoonjoki river valley and old Porvoo (October)
- Olavinlinna castle and lake Pihlajavesi (November)

As usual, we can expect the unc coins made available for face value and surcharged proof version.

Here's the first coin from the series commemorating Koli National Park. Issue Date: March 19. Mintage: 3000 (Proof), 15,000 (unc). Issue Price: €22.40 (Proof), €632.40 (pack of 100 unc coins) and €63.20 (in coin box).

Disappointing to see mintage of these coins going lower every year. Only 15k for unc? It also seems that you can't have them for face value anymore?

Decided to stop getting these when they started issuing the presidents series. They were pretty expensive before; seems the bad news keeps coming in and I made a good decision to get out in 2015

Some nicely designed pieces there. What I find odd however is the empty top part of every obverse. It's as if the original plan had been to add the place/region name there, and then somebody decided that nah, that's not necessary.
