By Azad Hasanli – Trend:

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is considering the possibility of replacing denominations worth one manat with metal coins (gapiks), First Deputy Chairman of CBA Alim Guliyev told reporters in Baku Nov. 23.

Meanwhile, the CBA representative denied rumors about the replacement of denominations worth five manats with metal coins. He added that such issues are not being considered and are not on the agenda.

Currently, there are coins worth 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20 and 50 gapiks (one manat = 100 gapiks) in the circulation in Azerbaijan.
