i have these 5 leptons and i'm not 100% sure if i'm right. So lets see how far i came
Also, what is the difference between an lepton and a prutah?

1: 1 Lepton 103 – 76 BC Hendin 469 Alexander Jannaeus

2: 1 Lepton 103 – 76 BC Hendin 472 Alexander Jannaeus
looks like the "flower" is strange

3: 1 Lepton 76 - 40 BC Hendin 479 John Hyrcanus II
i have trouble finding the same letters on the coin. the h479 came the best..

I think also the handing 469?

this one i can't find in this combination. (back and front)

Few WoC members include these coins in their primary interest. You might try sending a PM to mrbrklyn, but he hasn't been active lately.

Alternatively, you can take Roger's A handy guide to Jewish coins from the WoC bookshelf and see how far you can get.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

thanks for the link to the books. That sub forum was new for me. Tried to read the book. But the scan is really bad. But i see at the plates that there are a lot of different purdah's. So it going to be a difficult one to figure it al out.

(send the PM, thanks for the hint)
