These are the designs; images from the EU Official Journal. Both coins were designed by George Stamatopoulos (Greek Mint) and have a mintage of 750,000. First, the Palamas coin ...

The second one has a reference to an ancient coin again. :) The biggest Dodecanese island is Rhodes, and the coin features the rose that is depicted on many coins from there. See this tetradrachm for example. Whether the lines around it on the €2 coin symbolize waves and thus the sea ... don't know, just a guess.

Is George Stamatopoulos the only designer Greek mint has? He practically designs each and every Greek commemorative €2 or collector coins...

He is the chief engraver as far as I know. There is also Maria Andonatou and a few others. In some cases the design was done by Andonatou while Stamatopoulos then made the model. That was also the case with most of the circulation coin designs. But yes, Stamatopoulos is involved in most cases. :)
