Difficult, with only a quarter of the coin visible. I think the key is the picture to the left. I think it's not script, but have trouble imagining what it could be. In view of your other unknown, Byzantine is a possibility.

Definitely byzantine, I think these clipped copper scyphate coins date from the Latin occupation, when the Empire was supplanted briefly by crusaders from the West. Maybe 1200s?
