What is the connection to Vimy? I thought that was a Vimy Ridge Nickel collector coin.

well, its the centenary commemoration of the battle of Vimy. As for this collector coin, I donít know of any nickel coin (either 5c or the metal). There are a couple silver collector coins probably

Sorry Nickel was just my slang for a 5 cent coin. But the coin I refer to does exist.

AH Yes, that would certainly make sense given it was the 85th anniversary in that case. That coin would have indeed been for collectors only.

You can buy a pack of five twoonie for CAD 10 from RCM's website here.

Caution. The low-hanging fruits are still there maybe for a reason.

Unfortunately, this offer is only valid for residents in Canada.  :(

Unless youíre a premium member of the Mint, you have to pay 3.38$ more for postage and tax. Itís not available for $10. That is misleading

I forgot to add that to my message, thanks! :) It's quite understandable that RCM can't afford to sell them for face value for overseas buyers as that provision may bet misused by some.

I think this is too justifiable. People who get these coins for face value (with free shipping) can always sell them for a premium and make a profit. Why should a mint allow that when it's mint's job to make profit... ;)

Earlier versions of 10-for-10 (five Toonies) or 5-for-5 (five Loonies) campaigns had free shipping in Canada. But the Mint has had some rough years behind her (mainly due to the X-for-X silver coin programs which were abused by credit card paying customers for bonus points). So, yes, it's understandable that Canadians have to pay for shipping. Still, I wish they would offer these packs for customers outside of Canada.

By the way, here's the commemorative circulation Loonie ''celebrating'' the ice-hockey team of the Toronto Maple Leaves:
http://www.mint.ca/store/acquisitioncoins/2017-toronto-maple-leafssupsup-100th-anniversary--coin-pack-prod3090136

This coin was ''unavoidable'' within the ''canadian logic'' (''French/English equality'') because the ice-hockey team of the Montreal Canadiens had their cc Loonie in 2009.

AH THank you. Iím at the cottage right now and didnít rťalisť the maple leaf coin is out. After issuing for the mpntreal canadiens and Saskatoon, itís expected

As for the overage... they didnít charge before. They shouldnít be charging now. Theyíre charging tax on money which is even more ridiculous. Thatís not the Canadian way
