I get as far as Abbasid, being far from my books :(

In view of the weight, I think it's a full dirham.

No this is Ghaznavid alright.
For attribution it would have been nice if it was a little better readable. But i think we can get somewhere anyhow.

Because of the general aspect this must be a dirham issued under one of the later rulers, Ibrahim or later. This also fits with the low weight, as this went down as Ghaznavid rule went into decline. (Tye gives 2.2 gr average for Ibrahim)

On the top photo in the center we read "Muhammad / rasul Allah" the next line would be more interesting, but is unreadable for me, possibly there is some remnant of a fourth line, which could fit with "Ibrahim".

On the lower photo the main lines read : "la illah illa / Allah wahadu / la sherika lahu".
Below that is  ".. Allah". This suggests that the word at the top is the name of the current caliph, as many of their titles end in "... Allah". And indeed the word fits with al-Qa'im, official title القائم بأمر الله, who ruled from 1031 to 1075AD. This puts him conveniently in the reign of Ghaznavid ruler Ibrahim (1059-99AD).

So likely this indeed is a low purity silver dirham issued under Ghaznavid ruler Ibrahim, with proper weight for these.

Edit: Checking the references confirms this. Catalog nr SNAT XIVd 392.

This type is not represented in G&G as it was struck in Ghazna so not in India, I will move it to the Islamic board
