Baltic coins 2017
« on: September 13, 2017, 10:06:24 AM »
The Baltic states are being a bit erratic this year.

Estonia has issued 1c, 2c, 5c and 20c standard coins and a commemorative coin.

Latvia is not issuing any standard coins (despite at least issuing sets in previous years) but is issuing two commemorative coins.

Lithuania has issued 1c, 2c, 10c, 20c and 2 standard coins and a commemorative coin.

It's difficult to keep up but then perhaps that's part of the attraction.

Incidentally the 2 Lithuanian coin has the designer's initials V inside an O for Vladas Orzekauskas, which makes me think that the positioning of 'LP' on the 2015 coin amongst lots of other letters is the engraver Liudas Parulskis, although there was a second engraver Giedrius Paulauskis.  The 2016 commemorative coin doesn't seem to have a mark for Jolanta Mikulskytė, though.
