Originally, the street layout around where Cooks was located, was as shown below, with Saville Place leading from Northumberland Street, Eastwards to the junction with College Street, where it continued as Ellison Place. 'Cooks' was actually in Saville Place (East of the current John Dobson Street) before it (further East) changed into Ellison Place.
