Very nice coin and scarce mint.
What do you think of 960 for the date ? (Tahmasp Shah I, not II  ;) )

OK, I'll bite. Where did the little elves of Sabzawar hide the date? :)

Dear Peter, on the Obverse of the coin, the date is expected to be inside the center rectangular shape. From the overlay shown, there is no date inside the center rectangular shape. There are few Arabic diacritical marks, those are not numbers but they are normally used in Islamic calligraphy.
I could not find the date and it is possible that it may be around in the margin.
Blue: " Zarb ضرب ".
Green: " Sabzawar سابزوار ".
Yellow: " Tahmasp طهماسب ".

Dear Peter and Vic, I found the date "960 ۹۶۰" at 7 O'clock of first photo above the word "Mulkahu ملکه ". The margin in the first photo reads
السلطان العادل الکامل الهادی الوالی ابو المظفر شاه طهماسب بهادرخان الصفوی الحسینی خلد اﷲ ملکه و سلطانه
Please see overlay.

Yes Maythem, and it was the reason why I suggested 960 AH  :) ..

Thank you Saro, you probably knew that all the time and waiting for us to find out the hard way.
Anyway it was a nice exercise.

I'd never have found that without you. Great to see you do overlays, Maythem. We all learn from them and enjoy the teamwork here.
