Ireland: 2017 Annual Mint Set
« on: July 09, 2017, 04:46:08 PM »
Tomorrow (July 10th), Central Bank of Ireland will issue the annual mint set containing eight regular Irish euro coins. Theme for this year is Irish Lighthouses and Irish Coast Guard. 8000 Sets will be issued with an issue price of 29.

From central bank's website:

Originally scheduled for launch in March, the release of the 2017 Annual Mint Set was postponed due to the crash of Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 116 on March 14th off the coast of Co. Mayo. Following this tragic event, the Central Bank received permission from the Minister for Finance to donate the proceeds from the sale of the Annual Mint Set to a charity selected by the Central Bank. As the 2017 Annual Mint set pays tribute to the Irish Coast Guard and Commissioners of Irish Lights, the RNLI has been selected to receive the proceeds of the 2017 Annual Mint set. The funds will be donated to the RNLI for use in Irish search and rescue projects.

Caution. The low-hanging fruits are still there maybe for a reason.
