This is a very interesting coin to my taste, another base dinar. It doesn't look like gold or silver, more like billon with an uncontrolled mix of metals. There's a little golden corner in the lower left of the honeycomb, but also some vague bronze green spots on both sides. It feels notably heavier than it looks with its 23 mm and its ordinary thickness. According to Album, there should be 10-20% gold in it. I hope someone can help reading it. In the honeycomb cells is the word 'Malik'.
Ghorid heavily debased dinar of sultan Ghiyath al-Din Muhammad bin Sam (AH 558-599 or 1163-1203). Album W1754 mentions three mints: Firuzkuh, Taliqan and Herat. 23 mm, 4.21 gr. See
Zeno #139504. This coin, only I washed it in Bruce's mix.
