According to the United Nations geoscheme for Africa, the following countries constitute West Africa:
  • Angola
  • Cameroon
  • Central African Republic
  • Chad
  • Democratic Republic of the Congo
  • Equatorial Guinea
  • Gabon
  • Republic of the Congo
  • São Tomé and Príncipe
