In this topic unrealised designs can be seen that were submitted by Pobjoy Mint to the Falkland Islands Government for use on collectors coins. All of the designs in this topic were approved by the Falkland Islands Government. It is likely that HM Queen Elizabeth II didn't approve them and that that is why they were never used.

For the diamond jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II in 2012, the Pobjoy Mint submitted a design for a 1 crown coin that was to be issued in 2011. The design features a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the flags of the three armed forces to the right and a crown surmounting letters ER to the left. The design was more than likely made by designer David Cornell.
