A uniface 19mm brass disc counter-marked on one side with DROEG 2

Is anything known?  ???

It could be DROEC. In France, abbreviations of this length starting with D or DG often denote a government directorate (general). A possibility is Direction Routes Ouest Et Centre. That might be a forerunner of the present Direction interdépartementale des routes ouest.
