Got only my second Benjamin Bunny in change yesterday. Considering there are 25 million in circulation, I would have thought I would have seen more by now.
Do I live in an area of limited distribution (Devon) or are people retaining them on receipt?

I’ve seen a few.  I think you’re right, people are retaining them.  I know I have.

Aside from commemoratives and the £1, I’ve still only seen 2017-dated 1p and 5p in circulation.  The 5p is especially plentiful.  A few weeks ago it seemed like I was receiving no other date.  1p is still quite uncommon.  If other denominations were issued with that date, they certainly aren’t common in my neck of the woods (Derbyshire and East Midlands).

Just this last week 2x 2017 1p and 1x 2017 10p.
No 2p's yet.
always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....
