Aksumite Empire: Anonymous (ca. 440-470) Unit (Hahn, Aksumite 36.2; Munro-Hay Type 76; BMC Axum 316)

Obv: Crowned bust right, holding cruciform scepter
Rev: Greek cross within circle, central element with gold inlay

Perhaps the best coin from Aksum I have ever seen, even though I saw really very few of them.

Thanks guys!  I really have to thank Ansari for introducing me to these series.  Truly an outstanding and unique empire within the enclave of Northern Africa.  BTW, can you guys read the Ge'ez legends I posted on the previous Aksumite coins?  I, unfortunately, couldn't get the legends for this coin as the obverse legend is unread...
