The parent topic (above) gives an overview of the legend variations of the UK 2 pound coins since decimalisation. Please post any comments, questions or corrections here.

It used to be the case that all the UK circulation coins had beads around the rim, apart from the seven-sided twenty and fifty pence coins. Then, when the Dent series of designs was introduced, only the standard circulation two pound coin retained its beads. These appear on both obverse and reverse, but it seems that the beads have never appeared on the reverse of a commemorative BIMETALLIC two pound coin.

The post above shows how I started this subject. I never finished it properly, but now our new moderator, Alan71, has done so very efficiently. I have therefore now converted my original post into part of its partner topic: a comments thread.

I probably should add photos of the reverses, grouped into which obverse they use.

Probably do those in a separate topic, with links to them - a set of links from each obverse in the obverse legends topic. Does that sound good?
