2017 set

Bought 2 of these for a friend and myself.

normally I don't like glow in the dark coins. However, given the 2017 regular coins won't be in circulation and when you think about it, if ever a glow in the dark made sense, it is worth doing so for the Northern lights.

Besides, they are adding the coloured coins to the new 150th anniversary regular coins. Not too bad imo

Depending on when it will be issued in circulation, it will be the first or second circulating glow in the dark coin. It's a nice piece but the edge looks bad. British Royal Mint in recent years has the same problem on its 2 pounds coins..

received my 12 coin set last evening...forgot to check the glow in the dark coin; but its a very beautiful set within the cardboard cut out of the maple leaf.

I'm eagerly waiting for the release of the series into circulation so that I can get some for my numista swaps

The glow in the dark coin has -in fact- been issued for circulation.

You can buy it at the mint for double the face value; but it's not going to be distributed into circulation unless someone decides he wants to use them as regular change

Thnx; guess that mint staffer I spoke with didn't know what she's talking about. These should garner good amount of interest with my swap partners on numista

I just got the coloureds 25c in change. It's probably the most beautiful modern commemorative coin I have seen in a while
