There's no better way to introduce you to the symbols on this coin than to refer you to the site of our member Africancoins, page on Tanzania. The fish is the Indo-Pacific sailfish, istiophorus platypterus, istiophoridae.

Thanks for moving the coin to the correct area. Very interesting reading on the page provided. Of course I didn't know any of the information either.
That is one reason why I love collecting coins no matter if they are ancient or modern. There is so, so much to learn.
