Are they going to issue actual sets of these?

It is unknown if there will be sets of these.

In this case however Gibraltar will issue a newly designed 2018-dated standard circulating coin series. They will not revert to the old designs.
Will it be in 2018 itself or will they wait for 2019?
Only the obverse effigy will change or will they change the reverse too?

It is unknown when these new 2018-dated standard circulating coins will be released. It is well possible that they will only be released next year. As far as I know new reverse designs will be introduced on the 2018-dated coins. I am not too sure on the obverse portrait.

I made the design of the "Referendum" 2 pounds coin. It is supposed that it will be something like this.

eBay - there’s a listing on there now.

Seems to be just the one 2p listing but multiple listings for the 50p and £1.

I have now received reports that the new 2p coins have ended up in circulation in Gibraltar. Until the last minute I had expected these to be for sets only*, very surprising that they really start to mint the 1p and 2p coins again for circulation. It would be interesting to know the reasons behind this.

*Sets or only in the 2017 ANA World's Fair of Money passports.

I suppose if the 1p and 2p haven’t actually been withdrawn from circulation, then why not have new issues?  I think they were jumping the gun a bit by not including them in the last designs.

You mention sets.  Is there any more news on whether these will be issued?  I’d rather get all the denominations in one go than buy them gradually as they appear.

The 1p is now out too. Now the wait for Tower Mint's pieces begins  ::)

Are Tower Mint doing all of the remaining denominations then (5p, 10p, 20p and £2)?  And Pobjoy’s were what’s already out (1p, 2p, 50p and £1)?

I was just informed that there will not be sets.
