Just posting a poll for all the members to choose the favorite design/subject among the coins released in 2016 by the mints in India. Happy Holidays and Keep Collecting.

Did not vote, as I did not find any of those issued commemorative coins good enough. :( Last year's 1965 war commemorative was really nice, this year, there hasn't been any such good theme. If forced to pick up one, I'd select BHU commemorative.

From fresh design point of view, the BHU, Mysore University, National Archives, Allahabad High Court have come out quite good. It remains to be seen how the circulation strike for these coins would look like. The remaining are more portrait, there is very little freshness in design and are more routine.

I tend to agree that the subjects were better than just straight up personalities only and the design elements were somewhat good as well. One hopes that the designers, engravers and the mints would challenge their system and keep negligible empty space on the coin. Commemorating important national events like 70 years of Independence etc, would also make it more interesting. Anyways, I feel like the BHU,  Mysore University and National Archives coins were well executed this year.  Looking forward to checking out the favorite design once the poll closes. Thanks!
