The "visor view" design I like. Kind of sad that all of them will be surcharged. Hmm, need to ponder ...

Side note - the Austrian Moon Landing Anniversary coins (yes, there will be such an issue) cannot be had at face either. ;)

I agree, that's a good looking design! It is sad that there's no real circulating commemorative for this occasion. I'd think it would be important enough.

Not sure why you’d expect these us silver BU/proof coins to be be available at face. That’s not been the case since 1982, why would it be any different this year or the next?

I do not expect the US Mint to issue any of these silver coins at face. It is just somewhat, in my opinion, that no coin issued at face commemorates this occasion.

Ok so you mean they should have issued a circulating golden dollar or maybe a quarter then?

Would have been nice in my opinion. Or maybe a clad half, dunno. I understand that the surcharged collector coins are (usually? always?) fundraisers, i.e. part of the profit goes to a cause that has something to do with the theme, and that is perfectly fine by me. But, one can always wish ... ;)

A friend in the US has ordered proof two coin set and the proof silver dollar for me.
