Portugal 2017: 150th Anniversary of the Public Security Police

In 2017 Portugal is going to issue a 2 euro commemorative coin for the 150th anniversary of the Public Security Police (PSP).

The artist apparently likes design elements that resemble cheese. >:D  (Remember the Guimar„es 2012 coin?) Well, maybe we can find out whether the arrows, holes, heads and dots have a particular significance. The thing at the top which looks like a CoA is actually a police officer's badge.

The issuance program shows a coloured 2 euro coin, it is unknown if all coins or only the BU or Proof ones will be coloured. The coin will be issued on 18 July. 500,000 coins will be minted in UNC, 10,000 in BU and 10,000 in Proof quality.

Odd that this colored version does not feature the INCM "mintmark". And the designer's name is gone too ...
