Bhutan has issued a 1000 Ngultrum banknote commemorating birth of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey, Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck. A total of 3,420,000 banknotes were issued, which were printed by  Giesecke & Devrient, a German security printing company based in Germany.
