Hi

I have been carrying coins in Indian railways without any issues, but I need to know if there are any issues if I carry coins on domestic airlines? I have around 12-15 silver and copper coins. I don't have any purchase receipts for them.

Thanks
Anik

There shouldn't be any problem at all with 12-15 coins. 8)

Just curious to know: How do (Indian) dealers carry huge stock of coins when they are travelling to other cities to attend coin show? A few years ago, I was told that they prefer to travel by train due to weight of the coins. Is it still the same? Of course, carrying such a huge lot by train is definitely not safe! (Imagine a dealer based in Kolkata travelling to Mumbai by train: it takes 36 hours on an average. Imagine the tension he must be facing!)

I guess the weight is advantage. No one can lift it. It would need 4 people to lift...
