I now have some further information about the coins:

10 Céntimos: Príncipe kingfisher
20 Céntimos: São Tomé green pigeon
50 Céntimos: Grey parrot
1 Dobra: Green Sunbird
2 Dobras: Falcon

Almost every coin has a different type of edge.

A more complete image of the 20 Céntimos piece:

Despite the fact that the Central Bank released 7 different flyers, 2 videos and a Powerpoint Presentation on the new coins and notes, nowhere did they use good images of the new coins. Furthermore the fact that all materials are in a local dialect, for which no dictionary seems to exist, does not make it much easier. I have contacted both the central bank and its general director but have not (yet) received a reply. Tomorrow I will also ask The Royal Mint to provide the images of the coins.

And that other Portuguese-speaking African island, Cape Verde, also issued a bird set in 1994 - tho the lowest denomination actually showed a turtle, IIRC.

It's a pity that there is no bimetallic 5 dobras coin (20 cents  ::)) of this series, it should be wonderful...
Maybe something like this  ::), with a diameter not bigger than 23 mm and not to much thick with reeded edge:
