Not sure where to put this as I don't know how it was used.

It is a 1950 Austrian (Wiener Neustadt) Waldschule token.
It is Brass, 23.5mm and weighs 5.32g

Wald = Forest, so I assume this was some type of open air school...

Pretty neat looking token, whatever it is for.

It appears there are many Forest Schools.

The Forest School in Föhrenwald 1919 for the malnourished children of the city Wiener Neustadt founded and now serves as a special education school for physically handicapped children. Attached is a home for medical therapeutic rehabilitation.

Think it was an advertising piece?

Perhaps a tourist piece?

I also found this: Austrian  Hiking  Museum A-8671 Alpl 2, Peter Roseggers (Österreichisches  Wandermuseum) Waldschule In this PDF

Links in German.

The school was established in 1920 for undernourished children with a high risk of tuberculosis. It stood in a forest just outside town, where the clean air was thought to improve the children's chances. It included two doctors and a small clinic. The school burnt down in 1944. It was rebuilt with money collected from the public between 1947 and 1952. It seems to me that this could be a "thank you" token for significant donors. The legend is "for the forest school".

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Makes sense to me. Not sure under "advertising pieces" is the best place to keep it.
Someone can change it if there is a better place.

I think it is a nice piece.
