Russia 500 Rubles series
« on: May 22, 2016, 12:15:08 PM »
I just came across a series of fantasy pieces that pretends to have been issued by Russia. These fantasy pieces have a denomination of 500 rubles and have been issued to commemorate the 500th anniversary of relations between America and Russia. They have been minted out of copper-nickel and have a mintage of 1000 pieces each. To my surprise this series was minted at the Royal Dutch Mint (see the mint and mintmaster mark on the obverse). The pieces of this series are dated 2013 and 2014.
