I wasn't sure if the Fire coin was a circulation issue or not.

Not doing well at all this year.

1p,2p,5p,10p,20p, 50p (Olympics).  Not seen any of the Peter Rabbit or £2 coins. Must seek out more change...

Anyone have the 2016 50p Shield?
Looks like I might have been misinformed.

No, it's the one 2016 coin I don't yet have.  By misinformed, do you mean it hasn't actually been issued then?  I sometimes get the 2015 shield one.  Perhaps with all the 2016 commemoratives that were issued, no standard ones were needed?  If they issued five million of each commemorative, that's 35 million.

I got a few of the 2016 bi-metallic 12-sided 1 Pound coins today...  as change from a till in a big supermarket.

Are those of this type currently to be found in circulation mostly 2016 (and some 2017) or are the ALL dated 2016 at the moment ?

Thanks Mr Paul Baker

I have to admit that at the moment it looks that way :-\

Up to now all the new £1 I've seen are 2016.

Change Checker supports this.  The sheer numbers of 2016 £1 coins being issued is staggering, apparently more than the 1983 issue:

"If we take a look back to the mintage figures in 1983 when the £1 coin was first introduced, in total 443,053,510 of the Royal Arms £1 coin were struck for circulation that year. Thatís a little less than the amount of 2016 dated £1 coins and nearly 3 times less than the total amount of of the new coins struck for launch.

"Considering 1983 was a time without contactless payments and when cash was the most used method of payment, 443,053,510 seems a relatively small amount in comparison to the 1.5 billion required for the new 12-sided £1 coin launch."

Up to now all the new £1 I've seen are 2016.

Royal Mint, on its Facebook page, has said that out of around 1.5 billion new £1 coins, more than half a billion coins will be dated 2016.

So it appears that Royal Mint has put 2016 dated coins in circulation first...

Issue figures released for 2016 coins... confirming no standard design 50p struck for circulation.

http://blog.royalmint.com/2016-uk-coin-mintage-figures/

The complete list updated:
http://www.royalmint.com/discover/uk-coins/circulation-coin-mintage-figures/two-pounds-to-20p-issued

http://www.royalmint.com/discover/uk-coins/circulation-coin-mintage-figures/10p-to-half-penny-issued

The complete list omits the 2015 new portrait standard 50p for some reason.
