Greetings.
Can anyone be so glad to help me understand if there are initials of mintmaster on this coin?

Figleaf

I read the legends as (only capitalised letters are on your coin) MONEta NOva ARGEntea TREVIRorvm Anno 1668 and CARL CASPar von der leyen Dei Gratia ARCHiepiscopvs TREVirorvm Princeps Elector Arelat? (Arles) DPR. Only the last three letters could contain mintmaster initials. His successor used PER GALLiae ET REGni ARELAT as his secondary titles.

Known mint masters include:
1659 - 1666 Johann Christoph Buchsmeyer (ICB on coins he signed)
1669 - 1675 Heinrich Eberskirchen (HE on coins he signed)

It is unclear even if the Trier mint had a mint master in the period 1667 to 1668.

There is nothing else known about the Trier mint master in 1668.

Peter
