looks more like a Turkey but I expect it is a Peacock

This coin is illustrated in "Persian Copper Coins"/ Bahram Alaedini with this description : "peacock with open wings" (18.1g / 1240 AH)

Did you see the two eyes which look at you ? 8)
(at 9'oclock on the "R" of Teheran & with a 90° rotation : remains of the sun face of the previous coin on which this one has been overstruck

I hadn't noticed but I see it now  :o , I still think it looks more like a Turkey

I was looking at what appears to be a Turkeys 'Snood' hanging down on my coin  :D
