All of the Indian coins are pretty common. If you sell it to a dealer, you may get around Rs 2 - Rs 5 per coin. If you sell directly to buyer you may be able to get around Rs 20 to Rs 50 per coin.

Auction houses will not be interested in this Indian collection, except for the Manmohan Singh Bundle. If it good condition should fetch around Rs 1000/-

Am from India. Will try to get these auctioned. The Annas are being sold for quite a lot on ebay and other auctions.

I was speaking of Republic India coins. Yes British India may fetch more price; I don't do British India and hence can't comment on price.

Auction houses are very unlikely to sell 'not so expensive' coins as money raised is not worth the efforts involved. Also, they will charge you some fees if they agree to sell your coins (and if coins get sold).

If someone is giving you an offer without seeing the pictures, then in all likelihood it is a scam. So tread carefully.

I looked at the most recent coin values from Krause's/ Marudhar's South Asian Coins and Paper Money book, and the value offered to you seems to be many times over the market value, which makes me even more suspicious. If I were you, I will get do an in person transaction.

I will go for a face2face transaction only. By the way, here is a part of my collection.

Buyer seems to be ignorant about correct prices. Now it depends on you whether you want to sell these for this price knowing that they are not that worth...For this condition they are definitely not worth 2k each!

BTW this forum is really not meant for discussions like this, I'll leave it upto administrator to decide further.
