Post office tracking.
« on: January 29, 2016, 10:41:04 PM »
I have been waiting two months for a packet from South Africa.

I do have a tracking number and this item has been stationary in SA for all the time I have been watching.

I just filled in their feedback:
A registered Recipient tracked his South African Post Office (SAPO) package on Trackmyparcel.co.za then felt that South African Post Office (SAPO)'s delivery of his/her was The worst . The delivery status of this shipment was Never Delivered.

I then found this:  944 packets have gone missing!

My record from SA is three or four month. Don't give up!  :)

And remember:

My postman had to cross only the Sahara, your postman has to swim ...  ;)

I don't trust those numbers. I fully believe they are bad, but even the Italian maffia delivered more than half of the Naples mail. Maybe they included "no information on delivery" in "never delivered".

The only experience I have with South Africa post was awful, the letter was received in torn condition with the content (single coin) stolen. >:( Since the letter was not sent registered, no further action was possible...

Would you believe it! the packet arrived today 1 Feb. 2016 - postmarked 2015 12 01 after exactly two calendar months!

With it came another also from South Africa postmarked 2016 01 1 and registered.

Curious coincidence of dates or do they only work monthly over there?  ???

Good to know that your letter arrived in safe condition. :)

I have only one experience with African postal service (South Africa), in which I lost the coin. One experience with South America (Argentina, everything went well, however took over one month to receive the letter). Have received some half dozen letters from US, lost one. No letters from Canada. Plenty of letters from EU, no major issues. About 3-4 letters from Australia, lost one (however the dealer was gracious enough to send all the coins again which arrived safely). No letters from New Zealand or other Oceania countries. Only one letter from China without any issues, not a single letter from Russia.
