Italy: Two 2 Commemorative Coins in 2016
« on: January 24, 2016, 07:55:49 AM »
Italy plans to issue two 2 coins this year: One commemorating 550th death anniversary of Donatello and other commemorating Plauto.

Note that San Marino will also be issuing a Donatello 2 commemorative later this year...

The 'Donatello' coin has certainly been issued (in BU/Proof along with unc), not so sure about Plauto though...

Aditya

Edit: It seems that the annual BU set of Italy has been issued, which contains the Plauto coin, but not Donatello...Also, proof version of Plauto is also available so most probably both the commemoratives have been put into circulation.

Just received my copy of 'Donatello' commemorative: It's a BU version! 8)

As mentioned earlier, Plauto coin is a part of annual BU set of Italy, it hasn't been issued separately in a card like Donatello commemorative.
