certain notes of the "Ta-Ching Government Bank"
« on: April 14, 2016, 02:02:42 PM »
As for Chinese notes Western collectors of Chinese notes usually depend on listing in the SCWPM and Smith/Matravers.
Unfortunately these listings are often very incomplete. Some notes listed in SCWPM do not exist, others are not listed at all. I try to make a checklist of certain Chinese notes of which I have at least seen a picture.
Today I will list here all notes known to me of the Daqing Hubu Yinhang  / Daqing Yinhang (大清户部銀行 /  大清銀行) with branch names, P.A62 through A75B, S/M T10 1-50. Abbreviations used: GX = Guangxu (光緒).  Romanization used: Pinyin. Capital letters: place names as written on the note.

Excellent contribution, Erwin. This is the sort of thing we like to offer to visitors; low threshold, reliable and useful information. Thank you. Please add more illustration whenever you find them. I appreciate the sourcing to Peter Mösselberger. Another thing that would be useful is a little guide to where on the banknote you find the geographical names.
