Satavahanas, Satakarni I, 100 BC, Vidarbha region, Copper, 1.50g, 12mm



Obv: 8-spoke and 8-arm Wheel

Rev: Ujjain symbol with solid circle in between; Swastika between orbs

The Wheel on Obv depicts the Buddhist 'dharma-chakra' (Wheel of Righteous) while the 8-spokes and arms symbolizes the Noble Eight-fold path propagated by Buddha for salvation.

I am tempted to see a connection between the "arrowheads" here and the arms on this coin...
