Why should Mumbai mint sell a coin having silver of merely Rs 700 ( Rs 40,000 per kg x 17.5 gms) for Rs 3,940? It is excessive loot by Mumbai mint which will kill the hobby.

Kolkata mint is charging 2735 for similar proof set of Rajchandra and Deen Dayal. Why is Mumbai mint  charging 1205 extra? Is Cost of Production of Mumbai mint higher by 44% compared to other mint of same organisation?

Price point of view is costlier. I am not purchasing both the 100 rs coin sets of Kolkata Mint this time, possibly going for 10 rs sets. I am only purchasing Subbulakshmi coin as I was waiting for it. Possible that the 10 rs coins may not come for circulation as it may come in Gur-Ta-Gaddi type sets.
