Not for transport at all its a souvenir you make yourself using a metal typer machine at the amusement arcade, theme park etc. many of the arcades etc. had their own name put on the blanks.

See my web page here

I quote:
These Metal-typer machines were to be found in amusement parks and arcades around the world. Placing your money in the coin slot  allows an aluminium blank to drop into a position where it can be seen. Text of your choice can then be stamped onto this blank using any combination of the 26 letter alphabet, all caps, and the numbers 0 to 9. There are 32 spaces that can be filled with letters. Note, spaces count as letters. Turn pointer to letter or number wanted and pull left handle once for each letter, the coin is then rotated automatically so that the next letter can be stamped. When finished pull right handle to obtain token. It can thus be seen that every lucky token is unique unless you care to copy another token exactly to duplicate it.

It looks like a Greek person did a bus trip in the US and made this souvenir presumably with his name and address.

Not sure if a mechanical device in the US would provide Greek characters. I think it is more likely that a US (tourist) bus company provided this service in Greece.

Incidentally, ΚΑΒΑ ΠΑΝΤΑ is something like "Wine cellar always". Redwine may be able to relate to that :)

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Yes the Greek font does pose a bit of a puzzle.

The machines were exported to many countries, I have seen a Bucharest one dating to 1906, Christchurch NZ 1906/07 and Paris, France 1924.
